Village activities

Terenten offers any amount of leisure-time activities. Mini golf, amusement park with children's playground, Kneipp facilities, cross-country ski run, ice-skating rink, toboggan run, ski lift and ski school. The Mühlen nature trail, the Earth Pyramids and the biotope Pichner Moos are just the thing for a gentle round hike.

You can set out on many hikes directly from the Kuenhof. The Pertingeralm (mountain pasture) is a popular destination in summer. In winter a brisk toboggan run will take you to the mountain pasture or further on touring skis to the Terner Jöchl. Round about the Tiefrastenhütte (at 2,312m above sea level) hikers and climbers can find unique tours in summer and in winter. You are 15 minutes by car from Bruneck. Bruneck has 14,500 inhabitants and is made up of the districts of Reischach, St. Georgen, Stegen, Aufhofen, Dietenheim, Luns, Amaten and Percha. Bruneck's main street is one of South Tyrol's most beautiful shopping centres. In less than an hour, your are again in the impressive Dolomite Mountains. On the 26th of June 2009, parts of the Dolomites were recognised by UNESCO as a world natural heritage.

“The nine areas of the world heritage Dolomites form a series of unique mountain landscapes of extraordinary beauty. ... the magnificent, monumental and richly coloured landscapes of the Dolomites have always fascinated a multitude of travellers and were the origin of numerous scientific and artistic interpretations.”
